Draft, under review. These terms are a plain-language draft. They have not been reviewed by a lawyer and will change before Ringsworth launches. Text in highlighted brackets still needs to be filled in.
Terms of Service
Draft last updated October 27, 2026
1. The service
Ringsworth is an iPhone app and a hosted service that answers calls to your phone number with an AI assistant. The assistant screens callers, rings you, takes messages, helps schedule time, blocks unwanted calls, and can place calls for you. These terms are an agreement between you and [legal entity name] (“Ringsworth,” “we”). By using Ringsworth you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy.
2. Your account
- You must be an adult and able to enter into this agreement. [Minimum age and eligible countries.]
- You may only forward a phone number to Ringsworth if it is yours or you are authorized to manage its calls.
- You are responsible for your account and for people you add to it. Roles (owner, admin, human assistant, viewer) control what each person can see and change.
- Keep your sign-in secure and tell us if you think your account has been compromised.
3. Using Ringsworth responsibly
You agree not to use Ringsworth to:
- make telemarketing, robocalls, bulk or unsolicited calls, or harass anyone;
- impersonate another person or mislead anyone about who is calling;
- record or process calls in violation of the law that applies to you or the other party, including recording-consent laws;
- break the law, or interfere with or try to gain unauthorized access to the service.
We may suspend or limit an account that we reasonably believe is being used this way.
4. AI assistant and calls placed for you
- The assistant is software. It can misunderstand callers, misjudge whether a call should ring you, or mislabel a call as spam. Review its summaries and decisions, and correct it in the app.
- When the assistant places a call for you, it says it is an AI assistant calling on your behalf. You are responsible for the instructions you give it and for making sure the call is lawful.
- If you choose to show your own cell number as caller ID, you confirm that the number is yours.
- Calendar events the assistant proposes are only added after you approve them.
5. Emergency calls
Do not rely on Ringsworth for emergency calls. The app hands emergency numbers to your iPhone’s regular dialer so they go over the cellular network, and does not place them through the service. Calls that reach you through Ringsworth depend on call forwarding, network connections and our service, any of which can fail.
6. Availability and beta testing
We work hard to make sure calls reach you, including falling back to your cell network when your internet connection is poor. Even so, we don’t guarantee that every call will be answered, screened, rung or recorded correctly, or that the service will be uninterrupted. Pre-release versions (such as TestFlight builds) may have bugs, change without notice, or be discontinued.
7. Fees
Pricing has not been announced. Before you are charged anything, we will show you the price and terms, and paid plans will be governed by the terms shown at purchase. [Billing, renewal and refund terms.]
8. Your content
Your call records, recordings, transcripts, contacts and settings belong to you. You give us permission to process them only as needed to provide and support the service, as described in the Privacy Policy. You can export or delete your data in the app.
9. Ending the service
You can stop using Ringsworth and delete your account at any time. Remember to turn off call forwarding with your carrier. We may end or suspend the service for an account that breaks these terms, or discontinue the service with reasonable notice, and we’ll give you a chance to export your data where we can.
10. Disclaimers and limits of liability
[Standard warranty disclaimer and limitation of liability, to be drafted by counsel.]
11. General
We may update these terms. If changes are material, we’ll tell you before they take effect. [Governing law, dispute resolution, and other general terms.]
